You need 16 for the first x16 long slot. Then if you have another long slot if you have another 16 it would work...so my 2970wx TR2 will do 3 gpus like this as it has 48 pcie lanes. Most intell can do 1 or 1.5 cards. x8 helps but not as fast as x16.You need to let the system tune and copy down the zombie-tune #’s or each reboot you will
